Hi there, I'm Nikhil. I care a lot about accessible inclusive interactive experiences that expand upon games as an art form. I think a lot about the future of storytelling and virtual reality as a medium for social interactions. I've been lucky in being a part of some incredibly innovative teams including my current role as Game Designer at Sony Interactive. Below are some highlights from my career.
Concrete Genie
|
Concrete Genie is a Sony first party title about bringing out your inner artist. I was a part of a two man design crew involved in re-imagining VR painting. The game has seen critical acclaim in the press :
PUSHSQUARE - "Concrete Genie's colorful experience could cure sadness" NEWSWEEK - "Concrete Genie's VR Modes are dazzling dreamscapes you'll want to get lost in." VENTURE BEAT - "A beautiful game that brings out your inner artist." |
Give Me Your Gun
|
Give Me Your Gun is an attempt to bring a game designer's sense of player agency to the world of theatre. I think of it as "Twitch meets the Stage". The audience collectively role plays as a character on stage using their cellphones. By making the audience an active participant, this novel structure has the potential to foster conversation around difficult subject matter such as gun violence. Give Me Your Gun was showcased at the Games for Change Festival in New York City in 2018.
